You don’t have to fake it here

Hi! My name is Rebecca and I. Love. This. Work. Why? Because life is hard! And I don’t think we were built to do it alone. Yet so many of us spend years struggling through, feeling as if asking for help makes us “weak” or “needy.” In truth, however, I have come to learn that:

Developing the skills to be vulnerable, communicate your needs, and authentically feel your feelings is one of the strongest and bravest things you can do

Therapy is the place to try that out in a safe environment. I like to joke that if it all goes bad you can fire me and just never show up again, so what do you have to lose?

Rebecca Counselor

Why work with me?

Clients often come to me feeling overwhelmed, foggy, or tangled in too many thoughts. They’re exhausted from trying to figure it out alone and just want someone to help them make sense of it all.

One thing I hear a lot is, Yes! That’s exactly it.
Not to toot my own horn, but one of my strengths is pulling the core issue out of the chaos — helping you see the logical thread inside the emotional noise.

We therapists talk a lot about needing to move through big feelings to heal. But the truth is, we only feel safe enough to go there when we’re with someone who “gets” us.
And for whatever reason, that’s something I do really well — I get people.

I’m also kind of a nerd 🤓 I think a lot about how the brain works — anxiety, trauma, attachment, survival mode — but I explain it in a way that feels grounding, not clinical. Clients often tell me that finally understanding what’s happening in their nervous system helps them stop blaming themselves and start feeling hopeful again.

I’m a licensed professional counselor associate (LPC Associate) with advanced training in anxiety, eating disorders, and maternal mental health. But more than credentials, I bring patience, presence, and curiosity to the work. You don’t have to perform here. You don’t have to be fixed.

You just get to show up — and we’ll figure it out together.

Note: If you’re a provider looking to refer a client, feel free to reach out directly — I’m always happy to coordinate care when appropriate.

Who I Work With

I want therapy to work for anyone brave enough to seek it out. That’s why I am very clear up front about the kinds of clients I work well with, and who seem to thrive in our work together. I have experience in a variety of issues and disorders, but the common thread is this:

I work with people sick of feeling like they’re living a double life.

What does this mean? Let me give you some examples:

The life of the party

who secretly purges her meals and feels powerless to stop.

The high-level professional

who “has it all” but feels deeply dissatisfied with their relationships.

The ‘golden child’

who keeps all their struggles buried because they are terrified to let their perfect image slip.

The new mom

desperately trying to “keep it together” but who feels like she is drowning.

And anyone who feels like they are just faking their way through the day.

If this resonates for you, my first question is this:

What would it be like to stop pretending?

If that idea both terrifies you and feels like it could be the biggest relief in the world, you’re in the right place. Together, we can work to gently peel back the layers of the facade and uncover a life that feels authentic, meaningful, and aligned with your true values. Because I promise you - the world is better off with a little more YOU in it.
